What does the QR in QR Code stand for?
The "QR" in QR Codes stands for "Quick Response." It receives this name due to fact that all the data is stored in the code itself. The QR Code app on your phone does not need to reference a remote database table somewhere on the web to determine what a QR code means. Instead, it can independently decode the arrangement of squares into usable data. In many instances (as with our system) the codes are storing a URL to a website.
